For both transactions my pre-coupon and pre-Register Rewards total was $43.94 + tax
My post-Coupon and Register Rewards out-of-pocket total was $9.44 + tax
Total of Register Rewards left after both transactions is $17.00
So I guess you could say this shopping trip was a great success!!
*Just a note:
If you noticed that in my transaction above, I had purchased some candy to use as "filler items". I had to use these to match up the number of coupons and register rewards I had with the number of items purchased. For those of you who don't already know, whenever purchasing items at Walgreens you have to have the same number of items as you do coupons and register rewards combined. For instance, if I am buying a candle for $2 and I have a coupon for $o.50 off and a register reward for $2 that I want to use, I have to add one more item in order for me to be able to use both the coupon and register reward (2 items = 1 coupon + 1 RR).
